View : Q-Coat Technical Seminar 2026

Doha, Qatar | 09 February 2026 – Q-Coat, in collaboration with Qatar Steel, successfully organized a Technical Seminar at the Museum of Islamic Art, Doha, under the theme “Q-Coat Epoxy Coated Rebar – Ensuring Long-Term Durability and Corrosion Resistance in Qatar’s Harsh, Highly Saline, Low-Lying Coastal Environment.” The seminar brought together developers, consultants, contractors, traders, and industry professionals to promote awareness of Epoxy Coated Rebar (ECR) as a sustainable corrosion protection solution for reinforced concrete structures in Qatar’s aggressive coastal environment.

The seminar featured a technical presentation on Q-Coat’s production process, quality control systems, and ECR applications, followed by a Qatar University research case study demonstrating the superior corrosion performance of epoxy coated reinforcement. Expert presentations were delivered by Jotun, Qatar University, Qatar Design Consortium (QDC), and QGOSM, covering Fusion Bonded Epoxy technology, smart epoxy coatings, rehabilitation of reinforced concrete structures, and national standards for corrosion-resistant reinforcing steel.

The event was attended by representatives from 23 leading organizations, including developers, consultants, contractors, traders, and Qatar Steel partners, along with participants from Q-Coat and Qatar Steel. The seminar provided an excellent platform for technical knowledge sharing, industry collaboration, and reinforcing Q-Coat’s commitment to delivering innovative corrosion protection solutions that support Qatar’s sustainable infrastructure development.
